Frequently asked questions
Do I need lighting experience?
No. The course starts from zero and explains every term before using it.
Is this the Obsidian ONYX lighting software or the Obsidian note-taking app?
It is ONYX, the lighting control software by Obsidian Control Systems (NX consoles and PC). It is not the note-taking app.
Do I need a physical console?
Not to learn. You can practice with the ONYX software on a Windows computer; the course shows every step.
When do I get access?
As soon as the payment is approved we email you a link to create your password.
Can I use it on two devices?
Each account works on one device at a time. You can move your access to another one with an emailed code (up to 3 times per 90 days).
Is it available in Spanish too?
Yes. The whole platform and content are available in English and Spanish and you can switch any time.
